Ooops, I forgot to do my final Xbox update before I left on vacation. Last Tuesday, March 18th I arrived home from work and picking up the kids to find a UPS sticker on my door. You know the one, it says they are sorry they missed you and will try again tomorrow. Needless to say I was bummed. I was to be leaving on vacation the following day and wouldn't be home till the weekend, that would mean I was going to miss the remaining two drop off attempts. So I called UPS and told them to hold the package for me to pick up. When the driver got the notice to return it to the distribution center he figured I must be home, so he came back by to drop it off right away! Cool guy. I have had literally hundreds of packages from Tiger direct, Newegg, Amazon, Ebay, et al so he knew I would want this package ASAP. So anyways, I got the package, opened it up, set all my preferences back to how I had them and that was that. So my overall experience w/ M$ return process wasn't half bad. My only complaint is that every time I checked the website for status it said I didn't have a box being serviced. So I had no idea that my box was on its way back, therefore wasn't home to receive it initially. Total lapsed time from failure to replacement? 25 days.
