Why blog?

It's funny to think that I still have a blog anymore. I realized today that I haven't updated my blog in ages and I started to wonder why that was. After about, oh, 20 seconds I came to the conclusion that all the things I WOULD use a blog for have been made much more simple by other web based apps. Examples? How about photos? I USED to post pictures up on here fairly regularly, but now Flickr has made the task of uploading so much easier than making a blog post. Well, actually Flickr and the slew of crafty coders who have taken adavntage of Flickr's API to make uploading tools that is. Another example? How about just typical short rants and status updates? Uh Twitter.How much easier can it get than a quick Twitt about what's going on? Throwing a quick link to something cool up on my blog? Nah... I use del.icio.us for that..integrated right into Firefox (or IE7 @ work). Ya gettin the picture? I gues the only thing my blog is good for anymore is doing this right here. A long diatribe about how my blog is almost useless anymore. Whattya think? Oh...and one more thing. I tend to heap it all together in one spot (my Flickr, my del.icio.us, my Twitter) Tumblr......How quaint.
